Creating a Harmonious Work-Life Balance

The Light and Peace design by Hao Zhan is a stunning example of how a home office can seamlessly blend work and living spaces. The minimalist-industrial style of the office area provides a functional and efficient workspace, while the bright and warm Scandinavian style of the living area creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

The key feature of this design is the company image wall, which draws inspiration from the dyeing process of garments. The colorful lines represent the sewing process, creating a vibrant and dynamic visual display. This wall not only adds a unique touch to the office space but also reinforces the company's culture and values.

Wood grille ceilings, wood cabinets, and white walls in the meeting room and living area bring out the fresh and sunny Scandinavian style. This combination creates a sense of easy home life, making the space more conducive to creativity and productivity during meetings.

One of the challenges of this design was to cater to the different needs of the owners. By using the kitchen as a bridge, the designer was able to connect the office and living areas, allowing dwellers to experience both styles seamlessly.

Light and Peace is not just a visually appealing design; it also addresses practical concerns. The designer took into consideration the issues of wall mold and water leakage in the 15-year-old apartment and made necessary renovations to ensure a comfortable living environment.

This project, located in Taoyuan and completed in December 2018, reflects the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail. By incorporating the concept of the garment-making process and focusing on the core values of the company, Hao Zhan has created a space that is both functional and visually captivating.

The Light and Peace design by Hao Zhan has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, technical skill, and a commitment to improving quality of life.
